Our story

Built by a planning engineer, for planning engineers

Specialist training in Primavera P6, TILOS and Microsoft Project — built from 15 years of real project experience on nuclear, rail, oil & gas, pharma and infrastructure programmes across the UK and Europe.

I’ve spent over 15 years as a planning engineer on some of the world’s most complex projects — from the Cernavoda Nuclear Facility in Romania, to the Brussels Metro driverless signalling renewal in Belgium, to the Tortue Offshore Gas Terminal with Saipem, managed from Paris. Today I work as Senior Planning Engineer on Hinkley Point C in the UK, managing a Primavera P6 schedule with over 10,000 tasks.

Over those years, I sat through training courses that frustrated me deeply. Courses where you spent two days learning which buttons to click — but never understood why. No site experience behind the examples. No real project logic. No context for how Primavera or TILOS actually behaves when your schedule is under pressure at 9pm the night before a client review.

“A project team doesn’t need button-pushers. It needs planners who understand the logic behind the tool — because on a real project, you need to solve complex issues fast.”

That’s why I founded the school. Every course is built on field experience — real project logic, real mistakes, real solutions. When I teach P6, I’m teaching from a 10,000-task nuclear schedule or a complex Lean gas processing unit in oil & gas. When I teach TILOS, I’m teaching from linear rail and highway projects with actual production rates and access constraints.

Becoming a Project Planning Engineer

A Quick Practical Guide from the Field

A complete field guide for anyone who wants to master the craft of project planning — not just the tools, but the logic, the judgment, and the professional habits that turn a scheduler into a planner project teams genuinely rely on.

Every chapter includes practical exercises, real-world field stories from live projects — including Hinkley Point C, Brussels Metro, Grand Paris, and Tortue Offshore — checklists, and honest assessments of what the job actually involves.

“The tool is not the planner. The planner is the person who understands the logic before they touch the tool.”

Why teams choose us over generic providers

We are not a platform with 500 courses and a scheduling module bolted on. We are project planning and control specialists — one focus, 15 years deep in large industrial projects.

Generic training companies

  • Trainers who read the manual but never used P6 or TILOS on a live project
  • Generic examples with no industry or project context
  • Button-clicking exercises that don’t translate to real scheduling decisions
  • One-size-fits-all content spread across 50+ unrelated topics

Project Planning School

  • Trained by a practitioner currently on a 10,000-task nuclear P6 schedule at HPC
  • Real examples from HS2, HPC, rail, offshore, energy and nuclear projects
  • Training adapted to your team’s tools, sector and real project challenges
  • Deep specialist focus: P6 · TILOS · Risk · Microsoft Planner · Power BI

How we work

I personally manage both our UK and France operations — working directly with corporate clients, PMO leads and planning teams on training design and delivery.

For larger programmes or specialist requirements, we draw on a trusted network of experienced planners and consultants across the UK, Europe and beyond. Every associate is trained on the same methodology, the same course materials and the same standards I developed over 15 years in the field — so your team always receives the same quality, regardless of location or language.
